Welcome to RoadPple. By using our website or app, you agree to these Terms of Use. Please read carefully.

1. About RoadPple

    RoadPple is a digital platform that helps people connect for shared
    Trips
    and
    Hangouts.
    Users on our platform are either:
  • Road Planners - who organize Trips or Hangouts
  • Road Goers - who join them

  • For
    Trips
    , the Road Planer may drive, organize a route or stays.

    For
    Hangouts
    , the Road Planer simply organizes a meeting or event - they are
    not required to drive

    RoadPple is not a transportation provider, travel agency, or event organizer. We connect people and handle payment processing for coordination convenience.

2. Eligibility

    You must be 18 or older to use RoadPple. You agree to provide true and accurate information when creating your account.

3. Platform Use

  • Road Planners may post either Trips or Hangouts
  • Road Goers can join available listings, message the Road Planer, and pay through the platform.
  • Road Goers pay the listed price plus a service fee at checkout.
  • After the Trip or Hangout is completed, RoadPple releases payment to the Road Planner minus a 20% platform service charge.
  • RoadPple is not responsible for cancellations, delays, or disputes between users.

4. Trip Pictures

    By uploading Trip or Hangout pictures, you agree that:
  • You own or have permission to share all images you upload.
  • Photos must respect others’ privacy and may not include anyone who has not given consent.
  • RoadPple may display Trip or Hangout photos on the platform for community inspiration, unless you opt out in your settings.
  • RoadPple reserves the right to remove any images that violate community standards or privacy laws.

5. Prohibited Conduct

    You agree not to:
  • Post false or misleading listings
  • Use the platform for unsafe or illegal activity
  • Discriminate or harass others
  • Circumvent platform payments or policies

6. Reviews

    After every Trip or Hangout, both Road Planners and Road Goers can leave reviews. Reviews must be respectful and truthful.

7. Liability

    All users participate at their own risk. RoadPple is not responsible for incidents, losses, or injuries during Trips or Hangouts.

8. Account Suspension

    Accounts that break these Terms or compromise safety may be suspended or removed.

9. Updates

    RoadPple may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance of updates.

Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains how RoadPple collects, uses, and protects your data.

1. What We Collect

  • Account information (name, email, phone, photo)
  • Trip and Hangout details
  • Payment information (securely processed through a third-party provider)
  • Usage data (browser type, IP, device info)

2. How We Use Your Data

    We use your information to:
  • Match Road Planers and Road Goers
  • Manage listings, payments, and reviews
  • Display community photos (with your consent)
  • Ensure safety and accountability
  • Improve the RoadPple experience

3. Data Sharing

    We do not sell your personal information. Data may be shared only with:
  • Other users you interact with (for coordination)
  • Trusted service providers (payment processing, hosting, analytics)
  • Authorities if required by law

4. Payment Protection

    All payments are processed through secure third-party systems. RoadPple never stores your full card information.

5. Your Rights

    You may request to access, correct, or delete your data by emailing

Safety Policy

RoadPple’s community is built on respect, trust, and safety.

1. Verification

    All users must verify their contact details.
    Road Planners are required to verify ID or driving eligibility for Trips.

2. Communication

    Use RoadPple’s messaging system for coordination. Do not share private addresses or payment details outside the website & app.

3. Before Trips

  • Review profiles and ratings.
  • Confirm meeting points and expectations.
  • Share your plan with a trusted friend.
  • Meet in safe, public locations.

4. For Hangouts

  • The Road Planner does not drive; everyone travels separately to the hangout location
  • All participants are responsible for their own transportation.

5. During Activities

  • Stay respectful, sober, and calm.
  • Follow local traffic and venue rules.
  • End the activity if you feel unsafe.

6. Trip Pictures

    Trip and Hangout pictures are welcome, but they must follow these rules:
  • Upload only photos you took or have permission to share.
  • Never post images that include people without their consent.
  • Avoid posting identifiable personal information like license plates, addresses, or ID cards.
  • If someone requests removal of a photo they appear in, it must be taken down immediately or reported to contact@roadpple.com for review
  • RoadPple may remove or restrict access to any photo that violates privacy, safety, or community standards.

7. Reporting

    Report unsafe behavior, harassment, or inappropriate content to

    RoadPple investigates and removes violators to protect the community.

Payment Terms of Policy

Welcome to RoadPple. These Payment Terms of Service (“Payment Terms”) govern how payments, fees, and transactions are processed on the RoadPple platform (“RoadPple,” “we,” “our,” or “us”)

By using RoadPple’s services, you agree to these terms along with the [Terms of Use] and [Privacy Policy]

1. Scope of Payment Services

    RoadPple provides secure, verified payment processing through
    a 3rd party payment processor for
    all bookings made on the platform.

    This allows Road
    Planners
    (hosts) and Road
    Goers
    (participants) to complete transactions safely, with funds protected until the trip or hangout concludes.

    All payments
    must occur within the RoadPple platform.

    Off-platform or direct cash payments are strictly prohibited.

2. Roles

  • Road Planner: Creates and hosts verified trips or hangouts and receives payouts via connected account.
  • Road Goer: Books and pays to join a trip or hangout through RoadPple’s secure checkout system.

  • Both Planners and Goers must complete
    identity verification
    before engaging in any paid activities.

3. Payments & Payouts

  • Road Goers pay the total trip amount (set by the Road Planner) plus applicable service fees and taxes at checkout.
  • RoadPple holds the funds securely until the event is confirmed complete.
  • Planners receive payouts within 3–5 business days after trip completion through their connected account.
  • 3rd party processor standard processing fee (~2.9% + $0.30 CAD) applies to all transactions.

  • RoadPple does not store card or bank details - all payments are encrypted and processed by our 3rd party partner.

4. Fees

    A. Road Planner Fees

    RoadPple retains a
    20% platform fee
    from each completed booking. This fee covers:
  • Platform operation and development
  • Verification and safety infrastructure
  • Payment handling and fraud protection
  • Marketing and user support

  • The remaining
    80% (minus fees and applicable taxes)
    is automatically transferred to the Planner’s account after trip completion.

    B. Road Goer Fees

    Road Goers pay a
    variable service fee of 13–15%
    on top of the trip price. This percentage may fluctuate based on trip cost, duration, and location, and will always be
    displayed transparently at checkout.

    The Road Goer service fee supports:
  • Identity verification and security systems
  • Safety Check-In and support features
  • Platform development and maintenance
  • Customer service and resolution protection

  • All RoadPple service fees are
    non-refundable once the trip begin
    , except in cases of verified system error or Planner cancellation.

5. Member Standards

    RoadPple maintains a verified and respectful community.
    All members agree to:
  • Complete identity verification before booking or hosting.
  • Use in-platform messaging only for communication.
  • Never request or accept off-platform payments.
  • Follow community safety guidelines and cancellation rules. Violations can result in account suspension or permanent removal.

6. Copyright Policy

    All users must respect copyright and intellectual property rights.
    Do not upload or share content (photos, videos, or text) you do not own or have rights to use.

7. Host (Planner) Privacy Standards

    Planners must:
  • Protect the privacy of all Goers and never share personal information outside RoadPple.
  • Use trip or hangout data solely for legitimate in-app communication.
  • Handle all payments and refunds strictly through RoadPple.

  • Violation of these terms may result in suspension or loss of verification.

8. Collecting Fees Outside RoadPple

    To protect all users,
    payments and fees must be processed only through RoadPple’s official 3rd party system, unless stated otherwise in a written agreement authorized by RoadPple.

    Attempting to request or collect payments outside the platform without prior written approval may result in:
  • Account termination
  • Revocation of verified status
  • Removal from the platform’s safety and insurance protections

  • This policy ensures all members are protected by RoadPple’s secure payment, verification, and refund systems.

9. Taxes

  • RoadPple automatically calculates applicable GST/HST/PST based on user location.
  • Taxes are displayed clearly at checkout.
  • Planners are responsible for reporting their earnings and remitting any income taxes.
  • RoadPple provides transaction and payout summaries for record-keeping.

10. Refunds and Cancellations

    a. Overview

    All cancellations and refunds on RoadPple are managed
    exclusively through the platform’s payment processor
    to ensure safety, transparency, and verification for both Planners and Goers.
    Off-platform refund requests or direct cash arrangements are not permitted.

    b. Goer Cancellations

    Goers may cancel their booking at any time before the scheduled start of a trip or hangout.

    Refund eligibility is determined by the time of cancellation or in accordance with Planner's Cancellation Policy.

  • The 13–15% service feeremains non-refundable unless the cancellation is due to a verified platform or payment error.
  • Refunds, if applicable, are automatically processed back to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

  • c. Planner Cancellations

    If a Planner cancels a trip or hangout after receiving confirmed bookings:
  • Goers will receive a full refund including the service fee.
  • The Planner’s account may be reviewed and temporarily suspended if cancellations occur repeatedly or without valid reason.
  • Planners are encouraged to cancel at least 7 days before the scheduled start to maintain their verified status and avoid penalties.

  • d. No-Shows and Partial Attendance

  • If a Planner does not appear or fails to start the trip at the scheduled time, Goers will receive a full refund
  • If a Goer does not attend without prior cancellation, the booking is considered non-refundable.
  • In multi-day or multi-part trips, refunds for partial attendance are not guaranteed and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

  • e. System Errors, Safety, or Verified Incidents

    In rare cases of verified system issues, safety-related cancellations, or unavoidable incidents (e.g., road closures, emergencies, or verified technical failures):
  • RoadPple will issue a full or partial refund depending on the circumstances.
  • Refund decisions for safety or emergency cancellations are handled by the RoadPple Support Team within 7 business days of submission.

  • f. Refund Method and Timing

  • All approved refunds are processed throughour 3rd party processor and returned to the Goer’s original payment method.
  • Once processed, refunds typically appear in the user’s account within 5–10 business days , depending on the financial institution.
  • Users will receive email confirmation once a refund has been initiated.

  • g. Disputes and Resolution

  • Users must provide booking details, trip date, and reason for the request.
  • RoadPple may review chat records, Safety Check-In data, or trip logs before resolving the dispute.
  • RoadPple’s decision in verified disputes is final once both parties are notified.

  • h. Refund Exceptions

    RoadPple reserves the right to
    deny refund requests
    in the following cases:
  • The Goer bypassed the platform or paid off-site.
  • Misuse of cancellation policies or fraudulent claims.
  • Failure to comply with verification or Safety Check-In standards.

  • i. Transparency Commitment

    RoadPple aims to balance fairness between Planners and Goers while protecting community trust.
    Every refund and cancellation is processed with:
  • Full transparency of fees and policies.
  • Secure refund handling through 3rd party processor.
  • Clear communication via email and in-app notifications.

11. Travel Insurance & Privacy Notice

    RoadPple may partner with licensed insurance providers to offer optional trip coverage. If selected, your basic contact and booking details may be shared securely with the insurer for coverage purposes.
    Insurance participation is voluntary and governed by our

12. Currency

    All transactions are conducted in
    Canadian Dollars (CAD).
    Our 3rd party processor automatically handles international currency conversion and exchange rates.

13. Transparency and Safety Promise

    RoadPple is built on trust and clarity.
    Every payment shows:
  • Trip cost set by the Planner
  • RoadPple platform fee (20%)
  • Goer service fee (13–15%)
  • Applicable taxes and processing fees
