Terms of Use

Welcome to RoadPple. By using our website or app, you agree to these Terms of Use. Please read carefully.

1. About RoadPple

RoadPple is a digital platform that connects people for shared travel experiences and community events. Our ecosystem includes:

RoadPple Marketplace

Browse, join, and host Trips and Hangouts. Planners plan, lead, and set the commitment fee for what they've organized. Goers pay it through the platform. Everything else they sort out independently.

InnerCeku

Private trip hosting with 0% platform fees. Invitation-only. Available standalone at $19.99/month or $99.99/year, or included in the RoadPple Pass.

My TripSheet

A private planning tool for Planners to organize itineraries, budgets, and logistics. Available at $9.99/month or $49.99/year, or included in the RoadPple Pass.

WeCalendar

Shared group calendar for coordinating trip dates and availability across your crew. Available at $4.99/month or $49.99/year, or included in the RoadPple Pass.

Users on RoadPple are:

  • Road Planners: organize and host Trips or Hangouts.
  • Road Goers: discover and join them.
  • Road Partners: local businesses listed on the platform, offering deals and perks to Planners.
RoadPple is not a transportation provider, travel agency, or event organizer. We connect people and handle payment processing for coordination convenience.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18 or older to use RoadPple. You agree to provide true and accurate information when creating your account. Identity verification is required before participating in any paid activity.

3. Platform Use

  • Road Planners plan, lead, and set the commitment fee for their trip, covering what they have organized (e.g. group transport, shared accommodation, activities). They post Trips (Day Trips or Stay Trips) or Hangouts, and may host private trips through InnerCeku.
  • Road Goers browse listings and pay the commitment fee through RoadPple's secure checkout to join. All other costs including flights, personal accommodation, and personal expenses are handled independently by each Goer.
  • Road Partners are verified local businesses listed on RoadPple. They offer deals and perks visible to Planners building their trips.
  • All paid transactions must occur within the RoadPple platform. Off-platform payments are strictly prohibited.
  • After a Trip or Hangout is completed, RoadPple releases payment to the Planner minus the applicable platform service charge.
  • InnerCeku trips operate at 0% platform fee for Pass subscribers. Payment is handled through the Planner's own connected system as agreed at setup.

4. Trip & Hangout Types

  • Day Trip: A single-day outing. Goers return the same day. The Planner organizes transport and activities.
  • Stay Trip: A multi-day trip, typically including accommodation arranged or coordinated by the Planner.
  • Hangout: The Planner organizes a meeting or event. They are not required to drive. All participants travel independently to the venue.
  • InnerCeku Trip: A private, invitation-only trip. Available to RoadPple Pass subscribers. 0% platform fee applies.

5. My TripSheet

My TripSheet is a private planning workspace for Planners. It is separate from any public RoadPple listing. Content in your TripSheet is private by default and is not visible to Goers unless you explicitly copy it to a public listing.

My TripSheet is available as a standalone subscription ($9.99/month or $49.99/year) or included in the RoadPple Pass bundle.

For full My TripSheet policies including subscription terms and feature details, visit mytripsheet.roadpple.com/policies or contact [email protected].

6. WeCalendar

WeCalendar is a collaborative calendar and scheduling app within the RoadPple ecosystem. It is designed to help individuals, travel groups, and teams coordinate availability, plan events, and sync schedules. It is available as a standalone subscription or bundled under a RoadPple Pass.

  • WeCalendar may be used for personal scheduling or shared group coordination. It is not limited to trip planning.
  • You may invite others to shared calendars or group scheduling sessions. Members can only access the calendars they have been explicitly granted access to.
  • Removing a member from a shared calendar revokes their access immediately.
  • Your calendar data is yours. RoadPple Corp. does not claim any intellectual property rights over content you create in WeCalendar.
  • Calendar data is encrypted in transit and at rest. It is never shared across other RoadPple apps without your explicit action.
  • If you use WeCalendar as part of a RoadPple Pass, cancelling the Pass deactivates access to WeCalendar at the end of the billing period. Your data is retained for 30 days before deletion.
  • WeCalendar standalone subscribers retain access until their own billing period ends upon cancellation.

For full WeCalendar policies including subscription terms, data storage, and safety standards, visit wecalendar.roadpple.com/policies or contact [email protected].

7. Trip Pictures

  • You own or have permission to share all images you upload.
  • Photos must respect others' privacy and may not include anyone who has not given consent.
  • RoadPple may display Trip or Hangout photos on the platform for community inspiration, unless you opt out in your settings.
  • RoadPple reserves the right to remove any images that violate community standards or privacy laws.

8. Prohibited Conduct

  • Posting false or misleading listings.
  • Using the platform for unsafe or illegal activity.
  • Discriminating or harassing others.
  • Circumventing platform payments or policies.
  • Attempting to conduct off-platform payments or bookings.

9. Reviews

After every Trip or Hangout, both Road Planners and Road Goers can leave reviews. Reviews must be respectful and truthful. Fake or retaliatory reviews may result in account action.

10. Liability

All users participate at their own risk. RoadPple is not responsible for incidents, losses, cancellations, delays, or injuries during Trips or Hangouts.

11. Account Suspension

Accounts that break these Terms, compromise community safety, or repeatedly cancel may be suspended or permanently removed.

12. Updates

RoadPple may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance of updates. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification.

Safety Policy

RoadPple's community is built on respect, trust, and safety.

1. Verification

All users must verify their contact details before participating in any paid activity. Road Planners hosting Trips (particularly Stay Trips and Day Trips) are required to verify their identity before their listing goes live. InnerCeku Planners must hold an active RoadPple Pass and complete full verification.

Verification is a platform requirement and exists to protect all participants. If a user chooses to participate in any paid activity, trip, or hangout without completing the required verification steps, they do so entirely at their own risk. RoadPple Corp. accepts no liability whatsoever for any loss, harm, incident, or dispute arising from participation by an unverified user, whether as a Planner or a Goer.

2. Communication

Use RoadPple's in-platform messaging for all trip coordination. Do not share private addresses, personal financial details, or payment information outside the website or app. Off-platform communication to arrange payments is prohibited and may result in account removal.

3. Before Trips

  • Review profiles, ratings, and verification badges before joining.
  • Confirm meeting points and review what the commitment fee covers. Arrange your own flights, accommodation, and personal expenses independently.
  • Share your trip plan with a trusted friend or family member.
  • Meet in safe, public locations for the initial pickup or meetup point.

4. Trip Types: Safety Notes

  • Day Trips / Stay Trips: The Road Planner organizes transportation and the route. Confirm all logistics via the platform before departure.
  • Hangouts: The Road Planner does not drive. All participants travel independently to the hangout location and are responsible for their own transportation.
  • InnerCeku: Invitation-only. The Planner controls who is admitted. All participants must be approved by the Planner before attending.

5. During Activities

  • Stay respectful, sober, and calm throughout the experience.
  • Follow all local traffic, venue, and safety rules.
  • End the activity and leave safely if you feel uncomfortable or unsafe.
  • Use RoadPple's Safety Check-In feature to log your status during multi-day trips.

6. Trip Pictures

  • Upload only photos you took or have permission to share.
  • Never post images that include people without their consent.
  • Avoid posting identifiable personal information such as license plates, home addresses, or ID cards.
  • If someone requests removal of a photo they appear in, it must be taken down immediately or reported to [email protected] for review.
  • RoadPple may remove or restrict access to any photo that violates privacy, safety, or community standards.

7. Reporting

Report unsafe behaviour, harassment, or inappropriate content to [email protected]. RoadPple investigates all reports and removes violators to protect the community.

Payment Terms

These terms govern how payments, fees, and transactions are processed on the RoadPple platform.

1. Scope of Payment Services

RoadPple provides secure payment processing through a third-party payment processor for all bookings made on the platform. This protects both Planners and Goers by holding funds securely until a trip or hangout is confirmed complete.

For all public Trips and Hangouts, payments must occur within the RoadPple platform. Off-platform or direct cash payments are strictly prohibited and may result in account termination. InnerCeku is the only exception. Private trips on InnerCeku are paid directly between Goer and Planner using the Planner's preferred method (e-transfer, Venmo, Cash App, etc.). RoadPple does not process InnerCeku payments.

2. Commitment Fees

The commitment fee is paid by Goers through RoadPple to join a Trip or Hangout. Its primary purpose is to filter out unserious participants and signal genuine intent to show up.

The minimum commitment fee is $10 USD. Beyond that, it is entirely up to the Planner. They can keep it low as a simple intent filter, or increase it to cover expenses they have organized for the group such as shared accommodation, group transport, activities, or entry fees. What the fee covers is disclosed by the Planner on the listing.

Everything outside what the Planner includes in the commitment fee, such as flights, personal accommodation, and personal spending, is handled independently by each Goer. RoadPple only processes the commitment fee.

3. Payouts to Planners

  • RoadPple holds the commitment fee securely until the trip or hangout is confirmed complete.
  • Planners receive payouts within 3 to 5 business days after completion through their connected payout account.
  • RoadPple deducts a 20% platform fee from the Planner's set commitment fee before payout. For example, if a Planner sets a $100 commitment fee, they receive $80 after the platform fee.
  • Third-party processor standard processing fees (~2.9% + $0.30 CAD) apply to all transactions and are deducted separately.
  • The platform fee and all deductions are displayed transparently at the Planner's checkout and payout summary.

4. InnerCeku Payments

InnerCeku trips operate at 0% platform fee for active RoadPple Pass subscribers. Payment collection for InnerCeku trips is managed directly by the Planner through their own connected payment method, as agreed at setup. RoadPple does not process InnerCeku payments through the standard commitment fee system.

InnerCeku's 0% fee applies only to active Pass subscribers. If your subscription lapses, standard platform fees apply to new trips.

5. Fees Summary

Road Planner Fees: RoadPple deducts a 20% platform fee from the Planner's set commitment fee. This covers platform operations, identity verification, payment handling, fraud protection, and support. The remaining 80% is automatically transferred to the Planner after trip completion, minus third-party processing fees.

Road Goer Fees: Goers pay a variable service fee on top of the trip cost set by the Planner. This percentage is displayed transparently at checkout and covers identity verification, Safety Check-In, platform development, and customer support. All service fees are non-refundable once the trip begins, except in cases of verified system error or Planner cancellation.

6. Refunds & Cancellations

All cancellations and refunds are managed exclusively through the platform's payment processor.

Goer Cancellations:

Planner Cancellations:

  • Goers receive a full refund including the service fee if the Planner cancels.
  • Planners who cancel repeatedly or without valid reason may have their account reviewed and temporarily suspended.
  • Planners are encouraged to cancel at least 7 days before the scheduled start to maintain their verified standing.

No-Shows:

  • If a Planner does not appear or fails to start the trip, Goers receive a full refund.
  • If a Goer does not attend without prior cancellation, the booking is non-refundable.

Refund Processing:

  • Approved refunds are returned to the Goer's original payment method within 5 to 10 business days.
  • Users will receive email confirmation once a refund is initiated.

7. Taxes

  • RoadPple automatically calculates applicable GST/HST/PST based on user location.
  • Taxes are displayed clearly at checkout.
  • Planners are responsible for reporting their earnings and remitting any income taxes.
  • RoadPple provides transaction and payout summaries for record-keeping.

8. Currency

All transactions are conducted in Canadian Dollars (CAD). Our payment processor handles international currency conversion where applicable.

9. Transparency Promise

Every checkout on RoadPple clearly shows: the commitment fee set by the Planner, the RoadPple platform fee, the Goer service fee, and all applicable taxes and processing fees. No hidden charges, ever. Costs outside the commitment fee (flights, personal accommodation, personal expenses) are handled independently by Goers and are not part of any RoadPple transaction.
