1. Scope of Payment Services
RoadPple provides secure, verified payment processing through
a 3rd party payment processor for
all bookings made on the platform.
This allows Road
Planners
(hosts) and Road
Goers
(participants) to complete transactions safely, with funds protected until the trip or hangout concludes.
All payments
must occur within the RoadPple platform.
Off-platform or direct cash payments are strictly prohibited.
2. Roles
- •Road Planner: Creates and hosts verified trips or hangouts and receives payouts via connected account.
- •Road Goer: Books and pays to join a trip or hangout through RoadPple’s secure checkout system.
Both Planners and Goers must complete
identity verification
before engaging in any paid activities.
3. Payments & Payouts
- •Road Goers pay the total trip amount (set by the Road Planner) plus applicable service fees and taxes at checkout.
- •RoadPple holds the funds securely until the event is confirmed complete.
- •Planners receive payouts within 3–5 business days after trip completion through their connected account.
- •3rd party processor standard processing fee (~2.9% + $0.30 CAD) applies to all transactions.
RoadPple does not store card or bank details - all payments are encrypted and processed by our 3rd party partner.
4. Fees
A. Road Planner Fees
RoadPple retains a
20% platform fee
from each completed booking. This fee covers:
- •Platform operation and development
- •Verification and safety infrastructure
- •Payment handling and fraud protection
- •Marketing and user support
The remaining
80% (minus fees and applicable taxes)
is automatically transferred to the Planner’s account after trip completion.
B. Road Goer Fees
Road Goers pay a
variable service fee of 13–15%
on top of the trip price. This percentage may fluctuate based on trip cost, duration, and location, and will always be
displayed transparently at checkout.
The Road Goer service fee supports:
- •Identity verification and security systems
- •Safety Check-In and support features
- •Platform development and maintenance
- •Customer service and resolution protection
All RoadPple service fees are
non-refundable once the trip begin
, except in cases of verified system error or Planner cancellation.
6. Copyright Policy
All users must respect copyright and intellectual property rights.
Do not upload or share content (photos, videos, or text) you do not own or have rights to use.

8. Collecting Fees Outside RoadPple
To protect all users,
payments and fees must be processed only through RoadPple’s official 3rd party system, unless stated otherwise in a written agreement authorized by RoadPple.
Attempting to request or collect payments outside the platform without prior written approval may result in:
- •Account termination
- •Revocation of verified status
- •Removal from the platform’s safety and insurance protections
This policy ensures all members are protected by RoadPple’s secure payment, verification, and refund systems.
10. Refunds and Cancellations
a. Overview
All cancellations and refunds on RoadPple are managed
exclusively through the platform’s payment processor
to ensure safety, transparency, and verification for both Planners and Goers.
Off-platform refund requests or direct cash arrangements are not permitted.
b. Goer Cancellations
Goers may cancel their booking at any time before the scheduled start of a trip or hangout.
Refund eligibility is determined by the time of cancellation or in accordance with Planner's Cancellation Policy.

- •The 13–15% service feeremains non-refundable unless the cancellation is due to a verified platform or payment error.
- •Refunds, if applicable, are automatically processed back to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
c. Planner Cancellations
If a Planner cancels a trip or hangout after receiving confirmed bookings:
- •Goers will receive a full refund including the service fee.
- •The Planner’s account may be reviewed and temporarily suspended if cancellations occur repeatedly or without valid reason.
- •Planners are encouraged to cancel at least 7 days before the scheduled start to maintain their verified status and avoid penalties.
d. No-Shows and Partial Attendance
- •If a Planner does not appear or fails to start the trip at the scheduled time, Goers will receive a full refund
- •If a Goer does not attend without prior cancellation, the booking is considered non-refundable.
- •In multi-day or multi-part trips, refunds for partial attendance are not guaranteed and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
e. System Errors, Safety, or Verified Incidents
In rare cases of verified system issues, safety-related cancellations, or unavoidable incidents (e.g., road closures, emergencies, or verified technical failures):
- •RoadPple will issue a full or partial refund depending on the circumstances.
- •Refund decisions for safety or emergency cancellations are handled by the RoadPple Support Team within 7 business days of submission.
f. Refund Method and Timing
- •All approved refunds are processed throughour 3rd party processor and returned to the Goer’s original payment method.
- •Once processed, refunds typically appear in the user’s account within 5–10 business days , depending on the financial institution.
- •Users will receive email confirmation once a refund has been initiated.
g. Disputes and Resolution
- •Users must provide booking details, trip date, and reason for the request.
- •RoadPple may review chat records, Safety Check-In data, or trip logs before resolving the dispute.
- •RoadPple’s decision in verified disputes is final once both parties are notified.
h. Refund Exceptions
RoadPple reserves the right to
deny refund requests
in the following cases:
- •The Goer bypassed the platform or paid off-site.
- •Misuse of cancellation policies or fraudulent claims.
- •Failure to comply with verification or Safety Check-In standards.
i. Transparency Commitment
RoadPple aims to balance fairness between Planners and Goers while protecting community trust.
Every refund and cancellation is processed with:
- •Full transparency of fees and policies.
- •Secure refund handling through 3rd party processor.
- •Clear communication via email and in-app notifications.
11. Travel Insurance & Privacy Notice
RoadPple may partner with licensed insurance providers to offer optional trip coverage. If selected, your basic contact and booking details may be shared securely with the insurer for coverage purposes.

12. Currency
All transactions are conducted in
Canadian Dollars (CAD).
Our 3rd party processor automatically handles international currency conversion and exchange rates.
